UPDATE: 2/23/23 – 7:40 a.m.

The Ottawa County Road Commission team continues their response to the icy weather we’ve experienced yesterday and overnight.

Our day crews came in early this morning, joining our overnight crew, to begin the effort of scraping off the roads and applying salt/sand for deicing and traction.

Please be patient as our trucks work their way through the road network to get things scraped off. Please keep in mind that conditions can vary across the road network, so continue to drive with caution and use reduced speeds.

And remember, as always, to give our trucks plenty of room to operate.
