The Ottawa County Road Commission will hold a public hearing on the proposed Ottawa County Regional Solids Handling Facility project for the purpose of receiving comments from interested persons.

The hearing will be held at 10 a.m. on May 19, 2022, at the following location:  Ottawa County Road Commission, 14110 Lakeshore Drive, Grand Haven, MI 49417.

Project construction will involve loading mechanisms, greenhouses, and heated floors to dry biosolids.

Impacts of the proposed project include minor construction impacts and an increase in truck traffic near the regional facility, in exchange for a more reliable outlet for the biosolids with a higher degree of treatment.

The estimated cost to users for the proposed project will be $82,700,000.
