Road Resurfacing on Gooding St. from 32nd Ave. to Kenowa Ave. in Chester Twp. begins week of Aug. 7

WHY: Road Resurfacing

BACKGROUND: Starting the week of Aug. 7, contractors for the Ottawa County Road Commission (OCRC) will begin a resurfacing project on Gooding St. between 32nd Ave. and Kenowa Ave. in Chester Twp.

This project will consist of milling down existing asphalt, adding a paved shoulder for a new road width of 30 feet, and resurfacing road with two lifts of new asphalt and gravel shoulder restoration.

This work is expected to last until late August, however all work is weather dependent and completion times are subject to change.

TRAFFIC IMPACT: The road will remain open to traffic during this project, however there will be periodic temporary lane closures. Traffic will be maintained under flag control. Please drive with care and give yourself extra time to get to your destination.
