Resurfacing on Leonard St., 68th Ave. to 88th Ave., Polkton Twp., begins Aug. 21

WHERE: Leonard St., 68th Ave. to 88th Ave., Polkton Twp.

WHY: Road Resurfacing 

BACKGROUND: Beginning Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, contractors for the Ottawa County Road Commission will begin a resurfacing project on Leonard St. from 68th Ave. to 88th Ave. in Polkton Twp.

The project will consist of milling and resurfacing the existing pavement, as well as the addition of a 3-foot paved shoulder in place of the existing gravel shoulder.

This project is expected to last through late September 2023, however all work is weather dependent and completion dates are subject to change. 

TRAFFIC IMPACT: The road will remain open to through traffic, however traffic will be maintained using temporary lane closures under flag control during work hours.
