SPECIAL SERVICES CLERK/SECRETARY
Full time position working M-F 7:30am – 4:00pm
This position logs and processes transportation and right-of-way permit applications, responds to inquires related to the permit process from utility companies, contractors, and the public; and collects and receipts permit fees. Processes and files approved permit applications and related documentation. Maintains filing system and various records for the department. Enters and responds to MISS-DIG requests.
Requires high school diploma or equivalent along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word and other types of software to generate various types of charts, reports, and computations. Experience with Precision software desired but not required as this is specific to municipalities.
Strong communication skills is required. This position is also backup to the main receptionist.
