The contractor will be on site beginning Monday, Dec. 17, to start repair work on the 96th Avenue bridge. Work will include the placement of a taller railing on the bridge
This repair project could take up to two weeks to complete, depending on weather conditions.
As a reminder, 96th Avenue is closed between Ottogan and Adams Street until work is successfully completed.
The detour route is Adams Street to 84th Avenue to Ottogan Street.
Emergency vehicles may access the site from the north and south up to the bridge.
This is only a repair project, and the Road Commission will continue to explore options to do a full bridge replacement through the MDOT Bridge Program.
