Second phase of seal coat program begins Monday, July 18

The Ottawa County Road Commission will commence its second phase of the 2022 seal coat (chip seal) program beginning Monday, July 18, with the fog seal application on the chip sealed roads.

Please avoid driving on the fog sealed surface for 30-45 minutes following application of the material. Watch for traffic controllers who will help guide and direct you around the affected roads during this application process.

The OCRC will have two crews running fog seal. One crew is expected to begin in Holland Township at Ransom St. and 120th Ave., and will work east and south from Holland Township and then into Zeeland Township.

The other crew will be working towards in Holland Township beginning at 128th Ave. and Ransom St., working west then into Park Township.

We anticipate it will take 6 days to fog seal the entire network of chip sealed roads, however all work is weather-dependent.
