2021 cape seal program continues July 12th
Crews will be returning the week of July 12 to start the second phase of our cape seal surfacing work.
Contractors will be conducting the microsurfacing portion of the cape seal project, in which a thin layer of slurry is applied over the chip sealed roadway.
Per the contractor, their tentative plan is to start Monday, July 12, on Port Sheldon St. between U.S. 31 and Butternut Drive.
From there, the tentative schedule is as follows:
136th Avenue from Quincy to Port Sheldon
48th Avenue from Chicago Drive to Port Sheldon
48th Avenue from Port Sheldon to Bauer
Bauer from 24th Avenue to 48th Avenue
Crews will then return on Tuesday, July 20, to complete any outstanding work.
Please note that all work is weather dependent, and this schedule is subject to change.
Lincoln St. at 68th Ave. to close July 12-14
WHEN: July 12-14, 2021
WHERE: Lincoln St. at 68th Ave., Allendale Twp.
WHY: Culvert Replacement
BACKGROUND: The Ottawa County Road Commission will close Lincoln Street at 68th Ave. in Allendale Township beginning Monday, July 12, 2021, for a culvert replacement.
The project is expected to be completed by July 14, but please note that all dates are tentative and work is weather dependent.
DETOUR: The planned detour for this project is 68th Ave. to Warner St. to 64th Ave.

Note: Resurfacing does not close the road. It will remain open to through traffic, with temporary lane closures.
